SP-API fees in 2026: none, for now.
Amazon announced fees for third-party developers, delayed them and then cancelled them. The cancellation leaves room for a new attempt.
What happened
In November 2025 Amazon announced a $1,400 annual fee for every third-party developer plus a monthly fee on GET calls above a free allowance.12 In spring 2026 it put the fees on hold4 and by May 13, 2026 it had cancelled them.5 The cancellation page says Amazon will not move forward with the usage and annual fees “at this time”.6
Who it was aimed at: developers who offer apps to other selling partners. That includes the seller tools that connect to your account through SP-API. If you use SP-API only for your own business, the announcement excluded you:
“Sellers and vendors using SP-API directly for only their business will not incur additional SP-API fees.”2
If a tool raised its price between November 2025 and May 2026 and named these fees as the reason, that reason no longer applies. Whether a tool did name them has to be shown tool by tool; we only print it with a source.
